LABELS

Extending the metaphor of the rope as a literal constraint parallel to the ways bodies are boxed in and categorised, this project focused both on the ways individuals attempt to express comfort within the restrictions society places on them, and on the physical marks left on the bodies long after. The physical rope marks symbolised the damage which remains after trying to force labels on to people. Images in this series were all shot with a Nikon D3100.
